Kapil’s successful angioplasty done, was admitted in Fortis after heart attack

Legendary cricketer n former captain, winning first world cup for India in 1983, sixty one year old Kapil Dev has been successfully operated for angioplasty in Fortis Hospital in Okhla, Delhi where he was admitted after complaining of acute chest pain at 1 AM on 23rd October.

There are news about the legendary cricketer admitted after cardiac arrest.

However, after successful angioplasty his condition is stated to be stable and is being monitored by senior cardiac surgeon n Director of the hospital Dr. Mathur who’d done his angioplasty reveal.

According to the statement issued by the Fortis hospitals’ Cardiac surgeon n Director Dr. Mathur, Kapil Dev after suffering from heart attack was admitted in the hospital at 1.00 AM on 23rd October and was immediately taken to the operation theatre for angioplasty which has been done successfully.

The former cricket captain is now convalescing in stable contion and would be relieved from the hospital after few days.

The former cricketer Madan Lal, cricket captain Virat Kohli, Harsha Bhonsle, senior Congress leader Shahsi Tharoor etc have tweeted wishing for his speedy recovery.

In his tweet Madan Lal wrote : Please join me in sending prayers, strength and good wishes to Kapil and Romi Dev for his speedy recovery. Kapil was taken to the hospital in time as he complained of uneasiness. As per the doctors, the procedure has been successful and he will be home son tweeted Madan Lal.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli tweeted: Praying for your speedy recovery. Get well soon Paaji@ therealkapildev, inviting around forty thousand likes n more than seventy retweets till writing of this news.

Renowned Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle in his tweet said : Wishing a big hearted , mighty Kapil Dev a speedy recovery. So much more to do.

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in his tweet while wishing speedy recovery wrote : Concerned to learn that the legendary# Kapildev has suffered a heart attack & is in the hospital. His mighty heart won many a battle for India. Wishing him the very best in winning this one too, tweeted Tharoor.

Kapil Dev was a legendary all rounder and a popular captain of India cricket team having made in all 9000 runs in One Day International matches, playing 225 ODIs and 131 test matches.

Regarded as one of the best all rounder and captain in the history of Indian cricket he had an average score of 31+ per innings for the 5248 runs made by him in his international career. In the one day ODI format, he had scored 3793 runs , however he amassed overall nine thousand runs in International Cricket winning first world cup for India in 1983 under his Captain ship.
