New OnePlus 8 Pro facing screen issues!

The Chinese smartphone making company, OnePlus, recently launched its flagship phone i.e. the OnePlus 8 Pro. The starting price of the OnePlus 8 series is $699. However, recently various criticisms related to it have surfaced online due to images of screen issue.

Various users of the newly launched phone have complained that there are issues related to the display. OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch QHD + 120Hz AMOLED display. It is capable of a maximum of 1,300 nits of brightness.

This is the first phone from the Chinese company that has a 120Hz display. Also, it claims that it is the first phone that is competent to display 1 billion colours.

But all these huge claims have been obliterated by the various problems that the users are facing. There have been numerous posts on the OnePlus forum and Reddit, complaining about green screen and black crush.

One of the users has written on the r/OnePlus subreddit that his phone screen is facing issues in low brightness. That, a part of the other black screen is looking dark and thereby making all the colours look awful. He even posted a photo to show the problem.

A similar issue has also been reported on the official OnePlus forum by one of the users. The user claimed that at low brightness of around 5 to 15 percent, the dark apps show inconsistency in the colours. The edges appear to be darker and the whole background becomes non-uniform. However, when the mode is changed from 120Hz to 60Hz, the problem disappears.

The majority of the complaints are related to the experience of seeing a green tint and uneven visibility on the phone’s screen. Where some of the users have claimed that DC dimming resolves the issue, this did not work for several other users.

From what it looks, the problem may be related to the software of the smartphone. The company has paid heed to the complaints and has assured the users to fix the issue.

Now, all hopes are on OnePlus to release an update soon to fix the display-related problems faced by the users.
