Uttarakhand to experience tremendous cold waves with temperature to dip to 2 to 3 celsius

The temperature in Uttarakhand will come down by another 3 degree Celsius making lives of its inhabitants extremely troublesome, especially for infants, children, pregnant women, old aged persons and those suffering from asthma, cardiac complications and other critical illnesses.

The increasing cold wave will keep the lives of people in Uttarakhand on tenterhooks requiring adequate safety and due care affected them adversely.

According to Uttarakhand’s Metrological centre’s director Vikram Singh the cold waves’ impact from Friday onwards for at least four to five days would be tremendous bringing down the state’s temperature by two to three degree Celsius making the cold waves extensive and highly troublesome.

However, he further stated that this could be duly compensated during the day time by the temperature going upwards due to adequate sunlight but by evenings the cold waves may hit again.

On the other hand the weather scientist of Pant Nagar Agricultural University Dr. R. K Singh revealed that the plains will be adversely impacted by these cold wave outbreak also leading to extensive smog making people’s lives more cumbersome.

The weather is likely to take another turn on 24,th December with rains from 24 th to 26th coming making the temperature too cold with cold waves hitting Uttarakhand adversely affecting the population in Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar n other plain areas.

The meteorological department of Uttarakhand has issued an advisory advising people to be extremely cautious protecting them from the ongoing n incoming cold waves.

According to Vikram Singh while the snow fall has started in the Himalayan upper areas of Kedarnath, Badrinath etc entire Uttarakhand will be hit by cold waves with snow fall to become widespread.
