Tears rolled down the eyes of CM, T S Rawat while paying tributes to the departed, Salt MLA Surendra Jeena

The deeply anguished chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat was literally in tears as he could’nt control them while paying his floral tributes to a briitiant, extremely promising and people friendly lawmaker of Salt Uttarakhand who made his political debut in electoral politics of Uttarakhand by winning the election from Bhikiayasain assembly constituency in 2007.

This was a repeat tragedy because just a week n a half ago late Surendra Jeena had lost his wife Neha Jeena who breathed her last after suffering a severe cardiac arrest. In just two weeks short time the Jeena family has lost husband and wife leaving two sons, four brothers n the relatives in extreme shock n irreperable trauma.

Anguished Jeena who couldn’t revive from the tragedy of his wife’s untimely tragic demise unfortunately also met his sad end at the age of fifty in Dr. Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday early morning after having been infected with dreaded Covid 19 never to be revived again after a severe brain stroke.

The chief minister had personally visited him at his Delhi house to console his young colleague on his wife’s sad demise just a week ago, never ever having a slightest of the premonition that Jeena would not be in our midst so shortly.

There can’t be a greatest tragedy than this that a prosperous family and an enlightened pro people MLA extremely popular in his constituency n Uttarakhand in Salt being extremely popular, affable n soft in nature would leave everyone alongwith his dearest wife in just a short span of two weeks.

The highly shocking n anguished chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, his cabinet colleagues, lawmakers n workers of BJP and Congress across party affiliation were literally in shock as not only him n his wife had left us during the dreaded pandemic times but hundreds n thousands too are leaving on their eternal journeys.

Political leaders across party lines n ideological considerations have mourned the death of Surendra Singh Jeena n his wife and prayed to Almighty to render peace to the departed souls.

The Uttatakhand chief minister Rawat n his entire cabinet and lawmakers including party workers held a condolence meeting and paid their floral tributes to this great self made leader of Uttarakhand.

It may be recalled that Surendra Singh Jeena was born in 1959. He graduated from Delhi University and later on joined the ABVP in 1988 n worked for the party relentlessly.

He won for the first time from Bhikiasain constituency in 2007 and thereafter from Salt in Almora district for two terms.

A relentless fighter, selflessly serving the masses of Salt n Uttarakhand an affable natured, soft spoken Surendra Singh Jeena will always be a source of inspiration for the young generation of Uttarakhand who’d left an indelible impression in everybody’s mind n heart said Uttarakhand CM while paying his tearful farewell to this pious soul.
