Shooting for “Uttarakhand Doordarshan” TV serial ” Bhagirath Prayas” completed

The shooting of a television serial for Uttarakhand Doordarshan titled “Bhagirath Prayas” under the banner of Jodha Films, Delhi, has finally been completed, with nine days of constant shooting executed in various serene, exotic and beautiful locations of Almora, Bhikhiyasain, Shrikot, Majhali village , Manila and Ratwal in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.

According to a popular actor of regional films Jagdish Tiwari the local populace has accorded their total cooperation and due support to the actors n management team of the movie.
This regional movie BHAGIRATHI PRAYAS has been produced by Sanjay Joshi of Delhi whereas the dialogues, script have been written by prominent veteran director of Uttarakhand movies Sushila Rawat who has also directed this film.
Dhruv Tyagi has ably shot the movie as it’s cameraman while Shweta Sharma has done the make up of the artists.
The movie’s assistant director and In-charge is Jagdish Tiwari who is also a popular actor especially well versed in humorous acts whereas eminent theatre n film actor KHUSHAL Singh Bisht and Dev Rautela have performed in lead roles strictly maintaining the regulated guidelines of the ongoing pandemic.
According to the script, the movie’s storyline revolves around two friends, a retired government officer and another known as Bhagirath. The script of the film relevantly does justice to the present conditions n circumstances of Uttarakhand.
While adequately focussing on the problem of increasing exodus of its inhabitants to the plains, the story of the movie lays special emphasis on encouraging reverse migration giving a suitable message of repatriation of the migrante to their villages, ensuring not only keeping its population intact but also the socio economic conditions and cultural identity n the prosperity of the hilly state.
Prominent among the leading movie actors n theatre artists acting in this movie are : Sushila Rawat, KHUSHAL Singh Bisht, Brijmohan Vedwal, first Garhwali film heroine Kusum Bisht, Gorry Rawat, Rajesh Malgudi, Amit Bhatt, Kusum Chouhan, Suman Khanduri, Ravindra Rawat , Jagdish Tiwari, Pushpa Joshi, Rajesh Naugain, Ramesh Pardeshi, Parth Negi, Dev Rautela , Mohan Rautela etc. Some regional actor’s too have acted in this movie apart from these leading actors.
It may be recalled that the director, actor of this movie Sushila Rawat is not only credited for being the first woman director of Uttarakhand regional film industry but she is also known as the very first Director of Garhwali Television serials.
