Kangana Ranaut Surprises SRK Fans by Complementing “Pathan,” then Berating It

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan fans and Pathan fans have been confused about the real intentions of Kangana Ranaut, complementing the massive success of the latest film by SRK, “Pathan.” She had initially complimented, stating that it was wonderful to see Bollywood coming together to produce such high-budget movies like these. Everyone was extremely taken aback by the sudden act of niceness initially done by Kangana. Some estimated that this was her way of reconciling with the top brass of Bollywood and the public because her recent starrer films had been performing extremely poorly in the box office, most notable of which was her film “Dhakad,” which had miraculously earned just approximately 4000 rupees after being on screen for an entire week.

The film “Pathan” itself has seen its fair share of success, along with which came controversies in town. The most recent of which was the Bhagva (Saffron) bikini controversy. Essentially what happened here was that one of the songs within this movie featured Deepika Padukone wearing a saffron bikini, which for some reason, managed to offend a certain sect of people within the Hindu community.

Kangana Ranaut has, without any reason, sided with the #boycottbollywood gang on Twitter, stating that Love has managed to triumph over hate in this movie. What seems silly is that Love triumphing over hate is the basic premise of every single Bollywood film being churned out nowadays and well before many of these people were even born. She concluded by saying that this film can promote anti-nationalism as much as it wants, but the chants of “Jai Shree Ram” will be the only thing heard in this community of ours.

In her tweets, Kangana mentioned that we live in a country where 80% of the population is Hindu. Yet, a film is being released where the nation of Pakistan and its intelligence wing ISIS is being promoted in a positive aspect, even dragging the spirit of India into this balderdash. What she and the general public, which is offended, do not understand is that these films are essentially made for entertainment purposes with outlandish ideas which are bound to attract massive attention, which is the main goal of any film in question. This kind of thing is not new and is certainly not the last we’ll see of it, so people who do not appreciate or like such concepts will have to begrudgingly accept it with a pinch of salt.
