Infected with Covid 19, Indira Hridayesh shifted to Medanta via air ambulance

The leader of the opposition of Uttarakhand n former cabinet minister, 79 years old Indira Hridayesh has been admitted in a super speciality Medanta Hospital situated in Gurugram after not been given a separate room in Max hospital, Dehradun. Indira Hridayesh has been detected positive n is considered to be dashing leader of Uttarakhand active in politics for the last five decades politically close to the late stalwarts Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna n Narayan Dutt Tiwari, both the chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh n Uttarakhand. ( ND Tiwari) She had been the cabinet minister in all the Congress led government after the formation of separate state in the year 2000.

After being detected for Covid 19 she was admitted in Sushila Tiwari govt Hospital in Haldwani yesterday but was later air lifted in an ambulance to Max hospital Dehradun at 3 PM for admission. But she left the hospital in a huff after she was denied a separate room by the authorities despite the district magistrate n CM talking to the hospital management say news reports.

The hospital sources say that a room was arranged after some time but she came out of the hospital with lots of complaints. Thereafter the Uttarakhand chief minister arranged for her the air ambulance and was shifted to high profile reputed hospital Medanta, situated in Gurugram where the union minister Amit Shah was also admitted after being detected positive for Covid 19 few weeks ago.

It may be recalled that Harish Dami MLA of Congress is also admitted in Max hospital seeking treatment for Covid 19 with no complaints. There are currently more than 40 thousand cases in Uttarakhand with more than 450 mortalities. The recovery rate of the hilly state is 67. 7 %. Yesterday there was a massive spike of more than two thousand cases in a day sending warning signals about the rapid spread in the Covid 19 cases.

Few weeks ago even the OSD n some staffers of the CM we’re infected n several ministers n MLAs too have been affected by this dreaded pathogen. Dehradun, the state’s capital has witnessed the maximum cases of Covid 19.
