Uttarakhand assembly speaker detected positive for Covid 19

The Uttarakhand speaker Prem Chandra Aggarwal has also been detected with Corona virus infection making the Covid 19 situation quite critical in the state with several MLAs allegedly also being infected. The senior Congress leader and leader of the opposition in the state assembly septuagenerian Indira Hridayesh has also been admitted in high profile Medanta Hospital having been flown to Gurugram via air Ambulance. The Uttarakhand Assembly session was to open on 23rd September for two days but after the speaker Aggarwal’s isolation he won’t be able to participate with deputy speaker to be on the chair. In Uttarakhand the spike in Covid 19 cases have been quite worrisome especially since the last two weeks with the state witnessing a widespread surge, the state’s latest tally being nearly 41000. The information was given by the speaker himself through a tweet. He tweeted in Hindi, the English version of which is as below: I was detected positive for Covid 19 after I got myself tested for RTPCR. ALL THOSE WHO’VE BEEN IN MY CONTACT SHOULD SELF ISOLATE THEMSELVES.PLEASE EXERCISE PRECAUTIONS N BE SECURE N WHO’VE BEEN IN your contact they should also be secured.
