Gopal Upreti finds place in Guiness World Records for growing the tallest Coriander plant in the world ” 7 ft 1 inch”

A qualified, brilliant and dedicated farmer and horticulturist of Almora Uttarakhand Gopal Upreti has been credited for his outstanding achievement by recording his name in the Guiness World Records with regard to growing the 7 feet 1 inch tallest Corriander plant in the world.

This is indeed an outstanding achievement and a matter of immense pride for Uttarakhand and the country particularly after Gopal Upreti achieved this outstanding success on his own without any governmental support producing this tallest Coriander plant in the world organically and without using the sevices of a polyhouse. Till now the world’s tallest Corriander plant’s height recorded was 5 feet 1 inch.

But fully dedicated and enthusiastic Gopal Upreti after first winning the Indian Limca Book of record title went ahead to win the world record and through his hard work and commitment, finally made it. A big WOW.

The PMO, union minister of Agriculture Narendra Tomar, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt, Almora MP Ajay Tamta and former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat have congratulated Gopal Upreti for this unique n prestigious global achievement and wished him good luck.

This prestigious global recognition to Gopal Upreti for growing the world’s tallest Corriander plant in Bilekh, Almora Uttarakhand will inspire and motivate hundreds n thousands of enthusiastic young boys n girls towards organic farming in Uttarakhand. Gopal Upreti while thanking the agricultural minister, CM, Uttarakhand, MPs and the senior officers of horticulture of Uttarakhand viz Devendra singh Negi, Ram Singh and Indra Lal etc said that this outstanding achievement would not have been possible without their good wishes and blessings.

He added that his wife had been immensely instrumental in encouraging him towards farming and horticulture involvement in Uttarakhand. Gopal Upreti had been in construction business prior to involving himself in organic farming in Uttarakhand. Wishing him all the very best of this laudable extraordinary achievement.
