Delhi govt launches APP to know about number of available beds in Delhi govt n pvt hospitals

The Delhi government has launched an APP which will provide information of availability of beds in Delhi government as well as the private hospitals.

This was announced by the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival today. This new app will furnish the latest information about the vacancies and subsequent availability of beds to Covid 19 patients in various government and private hospitals of Delhi.

Sources reveal that there had allegedly been complaints about non addmission of Covid 19 patients in various hospitals of Delhi by the management saying that the hospitals have no bed because of their being full of capacity. Even the chief minister Arvind Kejrival had revealed this fact in one of his virtual press conferences earlier and the govt had to issue the notice to this pvt hospital in Delhi there is tremendous surge in Covid 19 cases having crossed the 20000 mark and more than five hundred subsequent deaths. Delhi has witnessed on an average about 938 cases daily during the last five days.

According to the chief minister Kejrival at present there are 2600 beds occupied by Corona patients in government hospitals out of total available capacity of 6731 beds. It means there are still 4100 beds available in the Delhi government hospitals. But there remains still a confusion till the exact authentic information about the hospital wise bed availability in not presented to the people.

But after this government APP the Covid 19 patients would be able to reach the hospitals with authentic availability of beds’ information added Arvind Kejrival. Delhi chief minister while giving the information on the availability of ventilators revealed that there are total 320 ventilators out of which about 92 are under use meaning that 210 ventilators are still available for use in the near future. Regarding the non cooperation from the hospital authorities if any about non addmissions of Covid 19 patients chief minister Arvind Kejrival said that a complaint could be made in Delhi govt number 1031 to which there will be proper response.

The information regarding availability of beds can also be sought from the Delhi government website : www.delhifights corona.in/beds n by dialling 1031 number. However there are still complaints of Covid 19 patients not being attended n admitted in government hospitals for the last several days despite repeated calls to the concerned health departments in Delhi. I have myself received such messages on my whatsapp.
