Enchanting beauty contest in interior Lansdowne village of Garhwal encourages young girls to the core

There is no dearth of creative talents and beauties in Uttarakhand apart from good educational background even in the interior villages despite not being so privileged as compared to those living in cities n towns with good economic background. If given an opportunity the talent flourishing in the rural areas of Uttarakhand are no less creative and competitive than those fully equipped with all the facilities and opportunities in cities, towns and metropolises.

Lansdowne, an attractive hill station with serene beauty around, attracting good number of tourists, the headquarter of Garhwal Rifles’ established in 1885 by the then British is today a centre of emanating talents of enthusiastic girls n boys curiously looking forward to join the Indian mainstream in various fields of career making.

It really sounds fabulous and highly satisfying to see aspiring girls perform and endeavour to compete in various creative competitions especially beauty contests in the interiors of Garhwal Uttarakhand inspiring the younger generation in the near future.

In a popular tourism township Lansdowne’s Doriakhal several aspiring young girls with beautiful attires participated in a “Miss Lansedown beauty contest” yesterday impressing one and all by their beautiful dresses n makeups including beauty queen postures n intelligence.

The young girls in their teen were extremely thrilled by their enthusiastic participation in the beauty contest with twenty five girls as participants.

According to Rajiv Barthwal of LOSA organised under the auspices of ABHYUDAYA Parivar ( Rising Family) in village Doriakhal in Lansdowne vicinity, the speciality about this contest was that all the participants belonged to interior villages exhibiting their outstanding talents with immense enthusiasm and confidence.

The beautiful participants looked extremely confident with guts n gumption having participated in the contest with inspiring calibre.

The contest primarily organised by Bhavna Verma, Prashant Thapa and Hema Sharma after paying floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati had plans to organise this beauty contest on a bigger scale to promote the aspiring beauty queens in the near future.

The panel to select the winning competitors comprises of two judges viz Prachi Sharma and Jyoti Kerr among others. The participants in the beauty contest selected for the second round to be held on Tuesday are: Khushi Chouhan, Khushi Rawat, Anjali Bisht, Anjali Aswal, Nidhi Negi, Radha, Shalini Rawat, Pratima Rawat, Shamiksha Aggrawal, Diya Dwivedi, Sushmita, Samiksha Aggrawal n Arti Negi etc. Prominent amongst those present on this ocassion were : Sahaj satija, Vipin Joshi from Abhyuday, Chanchal Beena Khandelwal, Pushpa Verma, Rajni etc. The proceedings of the Lansdowne Beauty contest was conducted by Alka Agrawal.

The organisers of the beauty contest deserve to be congratulated for enthusing young participant girls of villages in beauty contest to bring out their creative talent in order to compete in the glamourous world in the near future.

Anukriti Gusain, the daughter in law of the cabinet minister of Uttarakhand Harak Singh Rawat who had earned quite a name and fame earlier as an outstanding model and a TV host and presenter of Planet Bollywood in Zoom TV having come 4th at Miss Asia Pacific World in 2014 n crowned Miss Pacific World also hails from a village in Lansedown Garhwal Uttarakhand.
