Ek Diya Shaheedo ke Nam’ , Indian Youth Congress paid tributes nationwide at 6 pm on Friday.

New Delhi, 8 January 2021: The Indian Youth Congress paid nationwide homage to the farmers who were martyred in the historic farmers movement on the borders of Delhi against the 3 agricultural laws, under the ‘ Ek Diya Shaheedo Ke Nam ‘ program on the call of National President Srinivas BV.

At the same time, the Youth Congress also expressed outrage over the anti-farmer attitude of the NDA government led by Bhartiya Janata Party.

National President of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that the Annadata of the country is making a historic movement against black agricultural laws to preserve its existence in which dozens of farmers have been martyred some due to freezing cold while some due to suicides in protest.

He said that under the ‘ Ek Diya Shaheedo Ke Nam’ program for 6 minutes at 6 pm on Friday, Youth Congress colleagues paid tribute to the martyred farmers in each state and district of the country.

He added that India will remember the contribution of the martyred farmers fighting for the survival of the democracy and the survival of farmers.

Youth Congress national chief Srinivas BV said that the Modi government is adopting a dictatorial attitude which is shameful, further reiterating that the government led by prime minister Narendra Modi should understand that if the genuine interests of the farming community would not be taken care of the farmers’ condition in the country would be in acute jeopardy and as such it would be meaningless to think of a strong and viable India called the ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT. He said that the youth of the country are with the farmers, they will fight for the rights of the farmers firmly.


National media In-charge Rahul Rao has said that by paying homage to the martyred farmers across the country, the youth has given a clear message that they are with the farmers in their thick and thin.

He catagorically said that the Modi government is working for the capitalists and is insulting the mandate by ignoring the demands of the farmers. He said that the Modi government and BJP are insulting not just the farmers but every citizen of the country as well.
