Corona infection surges in Uttarakhand with 831 new cases in a day with the total tally reaching to 23011 n 312 deaths

The spike in corona virus cases in Uttarakhand seem to have worried one and all with the state witnessing more than eight hundred cases of Covid 19 infections on daily basis. If we glance at the 8 PM health bulletin released on Friday, the hilly state has witnessed 831 new cases of Covid 19 within 24 hours taking the total tally to 23011 with the Corona virus mortalities reaching to 312. A month ago the daily surge was between three hundred to four hundred cases daily but since a last week or so the daily surge has witnessed more than seven n eight hundred cases in twenty four hours with increase in Covid 19 death cases as well. However the recovery rate of the state remains static to 66 to 67 %. Till date out of the total cases of 290311 , about 15447 patients suffering from Covid 19 disease have recovered. Currently, there are total 7187 active cases in Uttarakhand with 502 recoveries in last twenty four hours. The state administration should aggressively apply regulations if it really want to get rid of this deadly Pandemic by strictly imposing Covid 19 restrictions and imposing hefty fines against those violating the set norms like wearing masks regularly, strictly maintaining physical distancing of minimum two metres, washing hands with soaps or sanitizers, avoiding touches and educating people about the pandemic in institutions etc. The senior citizens should be instructed not to move out unless it is very necessary.
