Government launches ArogyaSetu: how it works?

On April 3, the government launches a new ArogyaSetu application, which will alert people about coronavirus patients. This application is made for the people to inform them if they have come in close contact with an infected person.

This application detects only new cases and sends out alerts to only those who have been nearby the infected person.

This application is a Digital India for the health and wellbeing of every Indian where one can easily detect whether he/she is nearby to the infected person. An official statement said through Bluetooth technology, algorithms, and artificial intelligence can calculate this based on their interaction with others.

This application will help the government to take necessary and timely measures for controlling the risk of coronavirus infection and making isolation when required.

In this app, all the personal data of an individual are secured on the phone, and it is available in 11 languages, and it has highly scalable architecture.

The government took this initiative to control the spread of coronavirus among people through this app one can quickly get an update regarding his/her nearby infected person.

ArogyaSetu application is an initiative which would alert authorities if they are in close contact with an infected person.
