Huge Employment on Spree: Apple’s 1st Flagship Store in India

Good news comes for you all as Apple is on its last-minute way to open its initial first-party store in India. Amid its store launching process, the company is hiring a huge number of retail store workers and other staff members. The job postings will be at Apple’s retail stores.

The company has been eager and has taken several initiatives to open its first-part retail store in major Indian metropolitans in the last two years. However, there was much delay in launching the stores due to the pandemic outbreak. Now, Apply is in the final phase of carrying out its dream project of opening the flagship store.

In the first phase, the company will open two new retail stores in Delhi and Mumbai. The company is expected to launch the two new stores in the first half of this year.

The recent job posting was updated on the Apple Board on Monday. The jobs were posted under the “Apple Retail” list and intended for “various locations within India.” The job vacancies were posted for various positions ranging from “Store leader” and “Senior Manager”. The job vacancies for the new Apple stores include several niche roles like “Business Pro”, “Operations Expert,” and “Genius” roles.

According to the latest reports, around five Delhi and Mumbai-based employees have updated their LinkedIn profiles as Apple had hired them for different positions. However, the positions are yet to be announced at the storefronts.

Since 2020, Apple has been operating an online store in India. However, as there was no on-site retail store in India, the retail business was operated by a vast network of Apple Authorised Resellers. The resellers operated across the country while the company still operated the manufacturing.

The initial plans of storefront opening in Mumbai in 2021 and 2022 were delayed due to the COVID outbreak. However, after several years of rigorous work and manufacturing expansion in the country, the company is finally launching its first retail stores in Delhi and Mumbai in Q1, 2023.
