“Torch Outrage Procession” of Indian Youth Congress against 3 agriculture laws and over cancellation of Parliament’s winter session.

New Delhi, 30 December 2020: Today a Torch Outrage Procession was taken out by the Indian Youth Congress under the leadership of National President Shri Srinivas BV, in support of the demands of the farmers from the Indian Youth Congress main office to Jantar Mantar.

On this occasion, the National President of the Indian Youth Congress Shri Srinivas BV said that while the whole of India is troubled by the chilling cold, the central government is constantly pushing Annadata to death in this cold. Advocates are committing suicides in support of them, players of national and international level are returning their medals, famous eminent politicians are returning their Padma Vibhushan, but the PM instead of talking to farmers is engaged in proving them illiterate. He is constantly insulting the farmers and saying that the farmers are being confused.

In fact, the Prime Minister himself is constantly losing his credibility. People have suffered every moment from the ill effects of GST and demonetisation, this is why farmers demand a Parliament-made law, instead of a written assurance on the MSP. The BJP-led government does not even want any discussion on these issues related to agriculture. That is why by excuse of Covid, the government is not even convening the Parliament session. These people are constantly killing democracy. The Indian Youth Congress is standing shoulder to shoulder with farmers even in this odd situation.
In this Covid period Bihar elections can be held, Hyderabad elections can be held, there can be rallies in Bengal, thousands of people can celebrate the victory by mocking social distancing in Delhi’s BJP office, then why can’t 543 MP’s sit in the Parliament House?
We demand an immediate Parliament session.

National In-Charge of Indian Youth Congress Shri Krishna Allvaru said that Ambani and Adani have been acquiring land and building grain storage godowns in many states of India for the last 2 years. This clearly shows who the government wants to benefit through these black laws and whose throat it wants to strangle. Despite the BJP not having a majority in the Rajya Sabha, through dictatorship passed these black laws from the Rajya Sabha, which is a murder of democracy.

The Central Government is not ready to reply to this movement of farmers in Parliament, hence the Winter Session of Parliament is not been called. When elections can be held in Bihar, there can be big rallies in Bengal, then why can’t the Parliament session be held? We demand a special session of Parliament on the issue of farmers.

Bhaiya Pawar, In-charge of Delhi Youth Congress, National Secretary of Indian Youth Congress and Delhi Co-incharge Khushboo Sharma, Indian Youth Congress General Secretary Abraham Roy Mani, Youth Congress National Secretary Mohit Chaudhary, Youth Congress National Secretary Harsimrat Bajwa, Youth Congress National Secretary Ankit Dedha, Youth Congress National Secretary Vaibhav Walia, Youth Congress National Secretary Vineet Kamboj, Youth Congress National Secretary Manju Tongad, Youth Congress National Secretary Surbhi Dwivedi, Delhi Youth Congress Vice President Ranvijay Lochav, Vice President Shubham Sharma and many other Youth Congress workers were present in the demonstration.
