Vishal Anand who gave first ever break to Bhappi Lahiri is no more

Bollywood has lost a veteran actor of eleven movies and towering legendary star Devanand’s nephew, Vishal Anand, at the age of eighty two on Sunday after being ill for couple of months.

Bollywood movie CHALTE CHALTE fame hero Vishal Anand was also credited for giving the first ever break to renowned musician and legendary singer Bhappi Lahiri in 1976, who never looked back since then and touched the heights of success as a leading musician n singer of Bollywood having given several super duper hits too.

Born in 1938 in Mumbai, Maharashtra Bhushan Kohli was Devanand’s nephew who gave up his original name and was known as Vishal Anand, having acted in eleven films in his entire film career with CHALTE CHALTE ( 1976) and Taxi Driver (1973) being his best n favourite movies.

Out of the eleven films to his credit Vishal produced n directed some of them with CHALTE CHALTE being his outstanding notable BLOCKBUSTRE with eminent actress Simi Grewal as his heroine and Bappi Lahiri getting the first ever break as a musician never to look back again achieving greater heights in Bollywood since then.

Son of Bollywood’s iconic star Devanand’s sister Vishal Anand died due to prolonged illness after being in Bollywood wilderness for long.

Losing Vishal Anand as a legendary Dev Anand family member and an actor of the seventies and eighties, Bollywood will feel the absence especially as a producer, hero of a one time popular film CHALTE CHALTE n personal loss to eminent musician Bhappi Lahiri and his co star Sunni Grewal.
