Virat Kohli Says Anushka Sharma makes Massive Sacrifices as a Mother and Inspires Him
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli make one of the most popular celebrity couples in India’s subcontinent and are considered masters in their lines of work. The duo has never once failed to give out the ideal couple vibes to their fans and are fondly dubbed as Virushka by them.
Kohli, preparing for the upcoming season of IPL (Indian Premier League), recently talked about how Anushka has made massive sacrifices for their daughter, Vamika. In a conversation with a podcast for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the ace cricketer stated that his wife is an absolute inspiration to him.
Reflecting upon the tough time he had to endure in the past two years of his career as a cricketer, Virat stated that the way things had been these past two years, that they had their child, and as a mother, the sacrifices made by Anushka were massive. Taking into perspective the problems she had to face daily, he realised that the problems he had amounted to nothing.
He further stated that as far as expectations are concerned, as long as one’s family loves them for who they are, they don’t expect much, given that it is the basic requirement. When one looks for inspiration, one starts at home; in his case, Anushka has been a big inspiration for him.
When Virat had publicly stepped down from the post of captain in the Indian cricket team, his wife Anushka wrote a long note for her husband and complimented him for all the efforts he had made. The Instagram post made by her stated that she remembered the day in 2014 when he said that he had been made the captain as Dhoni had decided to retire from test cricket. She stated that she remembered him, Dhoni and herself having a chat later in the day and then joking about how quickly Virat’s beard was starting to turn grey. They all had a good laugh about it, and ever since then, she has seen not just Virat turn great, but she has seen growth around him and within him.
