Uttarakhand has merely 3806 Covid 19 active cases though the state tally has reached 12493 numbers
The total tally of Covid 19 cases in Uttarakhand has crossed the twelve thousand numbers today with 319 number of corona virus infections detected.
According to the latest health bulletin released this evening the total cases have reached to 12493 with 9485 overall recoveries leaving merely 3806 active cases with total Covid 19 deaths reaching to 158 numbers.
The recovery rate in the state is enhancing regularly with the current percentage reaching nearly 68. This is indeed an encouraging trend especially keeping in view tremendous national surge in Covid 19 cases with over fifty thousand mortalities.
While there is every reason to be satisfied in terms of enhancing recovery rate in the state, what makes one worrisome is the fact that the daily surge is of more than three hundred to four hundred cases on daily basis which needs to be controlled.
According to the renowned social activist and former DG of 108 ambulance service of Uttarakhand Anoop Nautiyal it is quite satisfying to note that the Covid 19 testing rate per lakh in Uttarakhand is 2148 as compared to the national testings of 2292 per lakh, which is just nearer to the national testing figure n is a good sign.
He however is concerned that these testings are quite less in the hot spot areas of densely populated cities of Haridwar n Udham Singh Nagar.
