Uttarakhand Congress chief Pritam Singh, INLD’s Chautala and IYC chief Shriniwas meet Tikaith and extend their unconditional whole hearted support

While one the one hand several serious cases have been registered against senior journalists viz Rajdeep Sardesai, seventy year old Mrinal Pandey, Zafar Agha with young “Caravan” journo Punia sent to jail, under various sections of IPC inviting tremendous criticism in social media by journalists as well as common people, on the other hand thousands of farmers are joining the ongoing protest dharnas at Ghazipur, Singhu and Tikri borders from different states like Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Western Uttar Pradesh. The incessant increase in numbers of farmers in support of the Bhartiya Kisan Union chief Rakesh Tikait and the various other farmers organisations fighting for revocation of the three contentious agricultural laws terming them an anti farmers black laws including enactment of new law on MSP, thousands of the PAC, Rapid Action Force and UP as well as the Haryana n Delhi police personels have been deployed to counter n control any possible confrontation between farmers n the government.

Meanwhile, witnessing the rush of hundreds n thousands of farmers from impressive Mahapanchayat held at Bagpath, Mujaffarnagar, Palwal and other parts of the country including in Haryana, leaders of anti BJP opposition political parties have started arriving at Ghazipur Delhi border Dharna Sthal to extend their open support to the ongoing kisan movement led by over forty organisations including the popular Bhartiya Kisan Union and its chief Rakesh Tikait.

After the open support extended by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival, the deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia visited n inspected the Ghazipur venue with health minister Satyendra Jain and personally met Rakesh Tikait to extend AAP’s total support including making lights and water arrangements by sending good number of Delhi Jal Board tankers n even other support system.

Earlier the Rashtriya Lok Dal President n son of Ajit Singh personally met Tikaith at Ghazipur venue and sat with thousands of protesting farmers assuring of RLDs total unconditional support to the ongoing kisan agitation.

His father and former union minister Ajit Singh had also spoken to Rakesh Tikaith and assured of his party’s full support, including sending thousands of Lok Dal cadre at Ghazipur.

The AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh who had strongly opposed the arbitrary passing of the three contentious bills in Rajya Sabha tearing them in front of the deputy chairman and breaking the Mike had also visited the Mahapanchayat in Mujaffarnagar and extended his fullest support assuring of even going to jail if need be. The Samajwadi Party too has extended its full support to the Kisan movement.

On Sunday the Indian Youth Congress president Shriniwas B V also went to Ghazipur Dharna cum protest Sthal and assured of the total support to the ongoing movement of the Kisans. Shrinivas BV talked with Tikaith inside his tent separately.

Meanwhile the Uttarakhand Congress chief Pritam Singh alongwith his party leaders n MLAs visited Ghazipur border on Sunday and extended his party’s total unconditional support.

Hundreds of Uttarakhand farmers also joined the agitation at Ghazipur with him.

The Uttarakhand Congress’s central in-charge Devendra Yadav and MLA Qazi Nizammudfin accompanied Pritam Singh to extend their whole hearted support. In a tweet in Hindi Uttarakhand Congress chief wrote: Who will stand in competition to the people? Whether they are the power or black agricultural laws. Extended our total support to the determined protesting farmers at Ghazipur alongwith Devendra Yadav, in-charge Uttarakhand Congress and MLA Qazi Nizammudfin and met Kisan leader Rakesh Tikaith to extend our fullest support tweeted Pritam Singh.

The lone MLA of Indian National Lok Dal in Haryana Assembly having won four times from Ellanabad constituency Abhay Singh Chautala who had resigned in support of the ongoing agitation of farmers demanding revocation of three black laws also visited Ghazipurr with his cavalcade and extended his party’s unconditional support to Rakesh Tikaith appealing to the farmers of Haryana n his political cadre to fully support and participate in the ongoing farmers agitation. He appealed to the farmers tweeting: Don’t be silent, don’t be afraid, fight back strongly again. We will fight this battle together and come out stronger than before. Carrying forward the vision of Ch. Devilalji will guard the farmers till my last breath tweeted Chautala.

Meanwhile speaking to a newsagency Rakesh Tikaith has unambiguously said that political leaders and MPs should not derive votes from the ongoing Kisan movement by meeting him but instead raise the issue of farmers bill inside parliament with a strong voice. They won’t get votes through this movement, they should raise the issue inside parliament Tikait added.
