Heartfelt tributes paid at Press Club of India

Several journalists in Press Club of India paid their richest tributes to journalists who’d recently lost their lives leaving everybody and the media fraternity in shock and anguish.

The senior journalists  Manglesh Dabral, Avtar Negi, Mrs Usha, Mr Mohan and Gurucharan were paid floral  tributes by fellow journalists at Press Club of India with several senior journalists viz Press Club of India president Anand Sahai, secretary general Mr. Bagaitkar, Umakant Lakhera, Editor of Rashtra Times Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi, several leading poets n writers n senior journalists remembering them for their outstanding contribution as impartial fearless journalists facing all odds while reporting and also struggling for journalists’ rights and protecting the fourth estate.

The eminent poets also read some contemporary poetries of Manglesh Dabral to pay their poetic tributes.

The journalists n poets lauded the deceased journos paying them their reverential tributes highlighting their good deeds and dedication while pursuing their profession with impeccable integrity for decades.

Large number of journalists, well wishers and friends of eminent contemporary poet  Manglesh Dabral,  senior journalist and activist  Avtar Negi, Gurucharan, Mrs Usha, Mr. Mohan turned in the condolence meeting in large numbers, including the family members of Negiji and paid floral tributes to the deceased journos one by one after the conclusion of the condolence meeting forming a long que.

A book of twenty five poems/ articles on Manglesh Dabral’s impressive contemporary poems by twenty five women poets/ writers greatly inspired by him, authored n printed in just four weeks after the sad demise of Mr. Dabral was also released as a token of reverence n tributes to this great poet.

Senior journo Avtar Negi who was an inspiration to PCI being its office bearer for long and highly intrumental in taking PCI to new heights was praised for his untiring efforts apart from being a journalist of repute for several decades.

Good number of Avtar Negi’s college n professional friends including social activists turned at PCI to pay their final adieu to their affectionate friend. May the departed souls rest in peace.
