Markets to open from 7 AM to 7 PM, CM Rawat holds meeting with senior officers

The chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat held a meeting with the senior officers at his official residence late Thursday evening and discussed in detail about the existing situation of Covid 19 cases in Uttarakhand which have crossed 500 numbers till now and how to bring the situation under control.

The chief minister asked the senior officers and the police to improve the condition of qurantine centres adequately and to ensure that all the people strictly adhere to the pandemic norms of social distancing, proper sanitisation, wearing of masks and being indoors at the most if it’s not extremely necessary to move out.

The chief minister in order to revive the state’s economy and strengthening the financial condition of the small and medium entrepreneurs and businessmen and also the commoners allowed the opening of markets and peoples’ movement from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat being extremely concerned about some untoward incident in Quarantine centres instructed the concerned officials to improve the conditions of the entire quarantine centres in Uttarakhand with immediate effect. He also directed the authorities to sanction neccesary passes to those requiring them for inter district movement etc .

The state government has also given green signal for construction activities in the state subject to strictly adhering to the established norms.

Instructions have also been issued for granting necessary permission to construction workers and granting some relaxation with adherence to norms in Quarantine for those coming to Uttarakhand these days.

On the request and advise of the DG police, the chief minister T. S. Rawat has directed the Disaster management authorities to allocate the necessary funds to provide PPE kits, masks and sanitiser etc to the police personel engaged on duty as the front line warriors.

The chief minister Rawat has few days back sanction Rs. 50 lakh for the corona warriors who are treating the Covid 19 patients in various govt hospitals of the state with dedication.

While discussing with senior officers the chief minister also felt an urgent need to prepare limited timed vedios’ ( visuals ) picturising the visuals n experiences of doctors working in hospitals treating Covid 19 patients with positive message to infuse positivity and optimism amingst the people. Awareness and mobilisation against this dreaded desease among the people was the key theme of the meeting

The CM said that these vedios should be sent to various villages to disseminate the positive message amongst the masses. The chief minister also asked all the chief ministers to spread awareness amongst the people in their respective districts and also to stringently exercise norms of social distances, weating of masks and using sanitizer regularly.

Those present in the meeting were : chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, secretary Amit Negi, Nitesh Jha, Smt Radhika Jha, Shailesh Baghauli, Police DG Anil Raturi, DG Law n Order Ashok Kumar, IG Sanjay Gunjyal, Abhinav Kumar and Ridhim Aggrawal etc. It may be recalled that the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had been to Almora, Haldwani n several other areas to hold meetings with senior officers to effectively counter the ongoing pandemic in the state.

    The decision of opening or not opening the economy is tricky as nothing can be predicted for the future as no proper scientific method has been established to control the Chinese Virus
