Tributes paid to veteran journo and actor Vishwa Mohan Badola, contemporary poet Mangalesh Dabral, Prem Lal Bhatt n others at Garhwal Bhawan

Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha paid its richest tributes to eminent personalities hailing from Uttarakhand who died during the dreaded pandemic times in Delhi n elsewhere and also associated with this social organisation since long having contributed selflessly. The office bearers of GHS and people from all walks of life in Delhi participated in the condolense meeting held in Garhwal Bhawan to share their grief with the families of the deceased and GHS members present on the occassion. The tributes were paid to eminent journalist and veteran Bollywood actor Vishwa Mohan Badola, renowned contemporary Hindi poet , literateur , writer and veteran journalist Manglesh Dabral, veteran Garhwali and Hindi poet and writer Prem Lal Bhatt, President of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha Mohabbat Singh Rana, renowned social activist Data Ram Joshi, Pratap Aswal, Nandan Singh Rawat, Mr. Nayal, Manohar Singh Rawat and twenty five other respected veterans associated with Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha and active socially.

A Bhajan Sandhya and Geeta Path was also held on this occasion. A condolense and thank you message to Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha for holding this condolense meeting to pay tributes to his father Vishwa Mohan Badola, uncle Mangalesh Dabral n others sent by Bollywood actor Varun Badola and his family was also read out in the condolense meeting.

The president of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy president M. S, Rawat paid his reverential tributes by way of singing a Bhajan and praying to Almighty to render peace to the departed soul.

Colonel D. R. Semwal, veteran executive president of International Council for Industrial Security and Safety Management n relative of veteran journalist and Bollywood actor late Vishwa Mohan Badola paid his tributes narrating as to how Badolaji has touched journalistic heights n thereafter as a renowned Bollywood actor from being a student of Hart Court Butler school Mandir Marg to completing his MA in English from Hindu College of Delhi University n thereafter joining journalism editing several prestigious dailies n finally making a special mark in Mumbai Film industry with his son Varun, daughter Gitanjali n daughter in law Rajeshwari also following his footsteps, acting in Bollywood thus raising the name of Uttarakhand high.

Eminent Hindi n Garhwali writer Ramesh Ghildiyal and Ramesh Dhyani while paying their richest tributes to Mangalesh Dabral, Vishwa Mohan Badola, Premlal Bhatt n others, expressed their deepest condolences on the sad demise of these towering personalities of Uttarakhand and the nation and said that the nation and Uttarakhand has lost eminent journalists of high repute, literateurs, contemporary Hindi poets of eminence and writers, the vacuum left by whom is neigh to impossible to be filled.

Others who spoke on the occassion were municipal councillor of AAP Geeta Rawat, Puja Badola, Vice chairman Garhwali, Kumaoni Jaunsari Academy, MS Rawat, Joint Secretary AICC Haripal Rawat, former GHS presidents Mr. Dwivedi, Surat Singh Rawat, Ramesh Rawat, ACP retired Satish Naudiyal, and acting president of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha Narendra Singh Negi.

The condolence meeting was ably conducted by the general secretary of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha Pawan Maithani, attended by good number of GHS members, journalists, social activists and women participants. The Uttarakhand Journalists Forum also paid its richest floral tributes to the departed souls.
