Uttarakhand CM T S Rawat admitted to Doon hospital. Had contracted Coronavirus on December 18

The Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has been admitted to Doon hospital this evening after incessant fever since the day he was detected for contracting Covid 19 on December 18 and gone into quarantine at his official residence at Dehradun.

According to the latest news reports the chief minister was admitted to Doon hospital on the advise of doctors monitoring his health as his fever was not coming down. The chief minister had, while being in self isolation conducted the assembly proceedings via vedio conferencing from his house few days ago and had also been executing the important official functions. On 18th December the chief minister had through a tweet informed about his being confirmed as a Covid 19 case also advising all those who’d come in his contact to get themselves tested for Covid 19 as well, as a precautionary measure.

The BJP president JP Nadda had also been to Dehradun who held several meetings with the CM, lawmakers, party leaders and workers in the state capital. He thereafter went on the Bengal political tour. However, after reaching Delhi the BJP’s national chief was also detected with Covid 19. The docters of Doon hospital have however said that the CM’s condition is stable and had been admitted to Doon hospital as a precautionary measure due to mild fever. There is no need to make speculations.

It may be recalled that The chief minister had been in isolation twice earlier, on different dates, first in the month of June when his cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj was confirmed a Covid 19 case. His two ministers had also gone into self isolation for few days as they had meetings with Maharaj while he had contracted Corina virus. Maharaj’s wife n entire family including about 22 members of his staff n followers had contracted the Coronavirus then. In the month of September too Trivendra Singh Rawat had gone into self isolation at his house after his OSD and some staff members had contracted Covid. One of the CM’s OSD has succumbed to this dreaded pandemic. Uttarakhand has currently over 89000 cases of Covid 19 with 1, 483 fatalities.
