The former assistant editor of Hindustan Times and Vice President of Press club of India Dinesh Tiwari Ji is no more. He breathed his last on Friday night after suffering from a severe cardiac arrest.

The sad news of the untimely passing away of Dinesh Tiwariji has send shock waves in the entire journalist fraternity of the country especially in the Press Club of India and Hindustan Times where he worked for several decades retiring as Assistant Editor.

Veteran journalist Dinesh Tiwari also edited the Press Club of India’s magazine for several years and had also taught various aspects of journalism to budding journalists, after retiring from Hindustan Times.

An intellectual to the core, soft spoken, affable and always affectionate towards friends and juniors, Dinesh Tiwari was adored by one and all, always in a jovial mood believing in absolute harmony.

He was highly revered among his friends and students of journalism especially in Delhi’s Press Club where he used to crack jokes and exchange pleasentaries moving from one table to another keeping everyone in good humour.

His passing away has indeed left a huge void in the journalistic fraternity of the capital and journalism difficult to be filled as such ZINDADIL INSAAN apart from a senior journo, are rarely to be found these days.

There are umpteen condolence messages posted in his FB time line, in whatsapp (social media) by his friends, well wishers n students with literary tears rolling down their unbelievable eyes.

I too was privileged to have acknowledged his blessings and was very much impressed by his genuinely transparent jovial affable nature n high knowledge, always in the habit of mixing with everybody.

I got the news of his sad demise today afternoon through Facebook and was literally shaken from inside as it seemed to be an unbelievable news. Due to my abnormal health I failed to bid the final adieu to this great pious soul but posted the following in his FB timeline as my richest tributes.

Sir, You have left us leaving in immense shock. It’s unbelievable. You were a renowned journalist, a teacher, a friend, an inspirer, a soft spoken person always beliving in harmony, love and affection,  and an extremely jovial n affable down to earth human being. You have left a huge void, never to be filled again literally bringing tears, rolling down our eyes with a very heavy heart never to meet you again in Press Club with a smiling adorable face making each one of us always happy and jovial. A huge personal loss indeed. Want to personally bid u the final adieu, but abnormal health restricts me.

Will pray to Almighty to render peace to your pious soul. Deepest  condolences to your grief stricken family. May the Almighty give them strength to bear this irreperable loss. Om Shanti
