One dead and six seriously injured when a car fell in a gorge in Pauri Garhwal area

While Deepawali is being celebrated all over with fanfare, in hundreds and thousands of families during this dreaded pandemic times who’d lost their near and dear ones this Deepawali has brought total misfortune. You open the social media and news about fatalities pour in one after another sending shock waves all over. Just today morning in Garhwal Uttarakhand a vehicle heading for a village in Chowbatta Khal from Delhi with seven passengers on board fell down in deep gorge killing one person on the spot n six grievously injured. According to a news an Inova car number DL 1C AA 7830 carrying seven person on board was coming towards Gavani, Chowbattakhal from Delhi but while the vehicle was passing through Dugadda on the Santudhar Road it fell into the gorge uncontrollably killing one person on the spot while grievously injuring 6 passengers with multiple wounds. The police from Gumkhal police post was immediately informed who retrived the dead body and rescued the injured. All the injured passengers were sent to Kotdwar dostrict hospital via 108 ambulance while the dead body sent in the mortuary. Om Shanti.
