Rahul Gandhi says if justice is denied in Rajasthan n Punjab to rape victims n the family of the deceased I will go there to fight for justice

The war of words between the national leaders of Bhartiya Janata Party and the Congress party pertaining to obnoxious n shameful rape cases n subsequent murders of adolescent girls in various parts of the country is still continuing with union minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi including Punjab CM Captain Arvinder Singh levelling charges n counter charges against each other of inefficiency n negligence in dealing with the criminals n observing laxity in administrative n legal handling of the cases to allegedly derive political miliage during the election scenerio in Bihar.

According to the Union minister Prakash Javadekar, the Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi n Priyanka Gandhi had not visited Punjab n Rajasthan, the state being ruled by their party, despite a grusome Tanda rape and murder of a six year old girl of Bihar with her half burnt body found recently in adition to ten incidents of rapes n murder in Rajasthan.

He further added that though Rahul Gandhi n Congress leaders were busy in extensive election tours they have no time to visit Punjab and Rajasthan as these are the states ruled by their parties whereas Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi visit Hathras ruled by the opposition party government.

He condemned the Punjab and Rajasthan incidents of rapes n murders and questioned the Gandhi family n Tejasvi Yadav as to why they could not find time to visit Punjab and Rajasthan despite the fact that the poor brutally murdered girl belonged to Bihar.

Javadekar said that these Congress leaders should go to these states n meet the anguished families. He was speaking to the Asian News International news agency reporter commenting on the cases of rapes n murders occured in Punjab n Rajasthan. In a tweet also the union minister Prakash Javadekar wrote : The incident of rape and murder of a 6 year old Dali girl from Bihar, in Hoshiyarpur’s Tanda village is extremely shocking. Instead of going on political tours, @ Rahul Gandhi should visit Tanda, Punjab & Rajasthan & take cognisance of incidents of crimes against women tweeted Prakash Jawadekar.

Responding strongly to Prakash Jawadekar’s accusations against him and the Gandhi family, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said unlike in Uttar Pradesh, the government’s of Rajasthan and Punjab are not denying that the girl was raped and her family threatened n course of justice blocked. He will definitely go to these states to fight for justice if it is revealed that due justice has not been delivered to the bereaved families n rape survivors.

Rahul tweeted in Hindi as well as English writing : Unlike in Uttar Pradesh the governments of Punjab and Rajasthan are not denying that the girl was raped, threatenting her family and blocking the course of justice. If they do, I will go there and fight for justice.

On the other hand the Punjab chief minister has strongly retaliated to the union minister’s baseless accusation on the Gandhi family while expressing his anguish and shock in Tanda incident of a six year old girl’s rape n murder saying that there is quite a difference between the tragedies n cases of Hathras and Tanda Punjab as in Hathras there had been attempts to allegedly protect the criminals of the forward castes and allegedly denying that the girl was raped etc whereas in Punjab the criminals have been immediately arrested n a chargeshert is being filed against them this week to bring them to justice through a fast track courts etc.

While expressing his anguish n shock over the Tanda incident the Chief minister of Punjab had tweeted yesterday : Extremely sad and shocking incident of rape & murder of six year old in Hoshiarpur. Though the police have arrested the accused, have directed the DGP to ensure proper investigation & that challan is presented speedily. Call for fast trial & exemplary punishment to the guilty by the court.
