Pawar writes to PM complaining about governor’s intemperate language in his letter to CM Thakrey

The tussle between the Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and Chief minister Udhav Thakrey which had erupted on the issue of opening of the temples in Maharashtra after the former wrote a strong letter to the latter questioning his credibility as a Hindu protagonist, the Nationalist Congress chief Sharad Panwar has by sending a strong letter to the prime minister questioning the intemperate language used in the letter by the governor have further complicated the crisis.

The temple opening issue has now adopted serious complications with both allies Shiv Sena’s CM Udhav Thakrey and NCP chief Sharad Panwar training their guns ( voice of protests ) against the governor acquainting the media as well about their communication sent to the PM.

The NCP chief Sharad Pawar has while taking a serious view of the governor’s letter leaked to the media n the language used in it on the issue of Hinduism questioning the Hindu credentials of Udhav Thakrey etc has also made series of tweets while also publishing his letter written to the PM.

While holding the major religious places of Maharashtra responsible for collecting massive crowds in these dreaded pandemic days, dangerous for spreading the disease compelling the Maharashtra government to stagger the decision n subsequently using the intemperate language in the letter sent to the Maharashtra CM Udhav Thakarey Pawar wrote : I agree that the hon’ble governor have his independent views and the opinions on the issue. I also appreciate this effort of the Governor to convey his views via this letter, however I am shocked and surprised to know that the letter of the Governor was released to the media and also the kind of language used in the letter which does not behove well for a person who holds a constitutional position.

He further added : I have conveyed my views regarding this letter to the prime minister Shri Narendra Modi.

I am sure he too would have noticed the intemperate language that has been used.

Emphasising strongly on the governor’s special interest on opening of the temples Pawar further wrote: In the very Preamble of the constitution the word secular is added that equates and shields all religions and hence the chair of the chief minister must uphold such tenets of the constitution. It may be recalled that governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has in his strong letter to Maharashtra CM Udhav Thakrey while asking for opening of the temples in Maharashtra has also questioned him as to what type of the Hindu is he who had visited Ayodhya after becoming CM supporting the Ram temple construction issue but now becoming a secular all of a sudden etc.

Responding to the governor’s letter annoyed n angered Udhav Thakrey had replied in the same tone saying that he does not require a certificate on HINDUTVA from governor and that his Hindutva does not permit him to welcome a person who called Mumbai ” Pakistan Occupied Kashmir”, unambiguously hinting at the governor Koshiyari’s meeting with CM’s betenoire Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who had publicly insulted the chief minister as well uttering derogatory language against Thakrey in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput imbroglio including strongly criticizing the Maharashtra police n party’s chief spokesman and senior leader Sanjay Raut n others.

Concluding his two page letter addressed to the prime minister Narendra Modi (as below), the NCP chief Sharad Pawar has said: I have not discussed this matter either with the the Hon’ble governor or the chief minister, however, I felt that I must share my pain with you and the public at the erosion of standards of conduct by the high constitutional office of the hon’ble governor.
