Manikpur area where the Chitrakoot alleged rape victim committed suicide becomes a focus of opposition political leaders

While the tragedy of Hathras gangrape and the subsequent death of the 19 year old innocent girl of sheduled caste community has resulted in the nationwide outrage followed by several incidents of rapes in various parts of Uttar pradesh including Balrampur rape with the SIT and the India’s premier agency conducting its indepth investigations, including a shameful n obnoxuius acid attack on three adolescent girls in Gonda district two days ago, another tragic case of a victim of alleged gangrape in Chitrakoot has come to light having committed suicide by hanging sending shock waves in entire Uttar Pradesh n the country.

It is shocking and disturbing to note that repeated incidents of crime against women and alleged rapes of innocent girls are constantly taking place in Uttar Pradesh including incidents of lynchings as was the case of a priest of Ramjanaki temple having been shot at by mafias after immolation of a priest in Karoli Rajasthan few days ago.

The incessant coverage of these obnoxious incidents of alleged rapes n in some cases their subsequent deaths including incidents of criminalism in various parts of Uttar Pradesh due to alleged negligence of the law enforcing agencies of the state, in the print n electronics media, including in the virtual media have led to national n state wide outrages.

In Uttar Pradesh in particular, the leaders of various political parties especially of Samajwadi Party and BSP including Congress, Aam Admi Party n media have started visiting the house of the victim ( deceased) with the police allegedly converting the entire village into Police Chavni with large number of policemen and their officers baricading the various entry points to ensure maintenance of law n order in Chitrakoot.

According to the latest reports two negligent police officials of the concerned police station namely Police post incharge Anil Sahu and the inspector Karvi Jaishaker Prasad have been suspended on the same lines as five senior police officials, including the Hathras SP for negligence n dereliction of duty.

According to the mother of the victim her daughter was allegedly taken to the nearby jungle at a secluded place misguiding her by one Kishan Upadhyay where he n his two other friends gangraped after forcibly under duress n pressure tying her in a nursery.

When the girl didn’t reached home till evening her parents went for her search n found the tortured gangraped girl in the nursery tied up with rope. The police of Saraiyya police post was informed about this tragedy by the anguished parents but the police allegedly didn’t take timely action saying that the family dose not want action.

This seems to be shocking n uncalled for as the police’s alleged inaction against the culprits had send the depressed girl into committing the drastic step of committing suicide. It was only after the dreaded tragedy of the rape victim that the negligent n ignorant police came into action by registering the rape case etc against the culprits after the family demanded for the action say the news reports.

The accused were booked under SC, ST prevention act n against POSCO as the police says that the Rape charges will be registered after the medical examination report reveals so. Sounds shocking ?

Meanwhile the Central Bureau of investigation has commenced the indepth inquiry in the sensitive Hathras case with the members of the family of the deceased girl being quizzed by the CBI today.

The family members of the victim and the witnesses of the case have been provided with adequate security and the brother of the deceased girl has expressed his satisfaction over the CBI enquriry saying that the family is now convinced that they will be able to get the due justice.
