Out of 1012 tests, 5 fresh Covid 19 cases found in Uttarakhand, total tally is now 151

Five fresh cases of deadly Corona virus have been reported in Uttarakhand today with total positive cases figure going to 151. As per the Health Bulletin issued today at 3.00 P.M. it is for the first time that more than a thousand i.e. 1012 tests were conducted in Uttarakhand which revealed three corona positive cases from Dehradun and two from Udham Singh Nagar taking the total tally to 151 in entire Uttarakhand.

However, the bulletin is showing a single Covid 19 death officially but in social media some activists have shown the deaths as three n four. There have neen 56 recoveries out of 151 with remaining active cases being 94.

The bulletin exhibits doubling rate during the last 8 days. Out of total 1012 testing 1007 persons have been found negative.

From the Uttarakhand’s point of view the situation seems to be alarming because the there have been a quick jump of thirty one cases in the last two to three days. The people are attributing the spike in Covid 19 cases to the influx of fellow Uttarakhandies who were working outside the state and are now returning back in large numbers.

The state government had asked the people stranded in other states interested to come back to register themselves in the State’s website with full details.

According to the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat about 2 lakh Uttarakhandies had registered themselves willing to return back to Uttarakhand. The state government had arranged buses n trains to various states to ensure their safe return.

Thousands of them have returned back to the state during the last few days from Delhi, Gurugram, Gujarat, Amritsar n other parts of the country and thousands of them are on the way.

The Uttarakhand High Court had also made testing n Border Quarantine mandatory in view of the spike in Corona virus cases in various parts of Uttarakhand.
