Nation n Uttarakhand in particular loses a towering writer n contemporary poet Manglesh Dabral

The nation and in particular Uttarakhand has lost an eminent literateur , writer, veteran journalist, contemporary hindi poet and above all a great human being Mangalesh Dabral at AIIMS after battling for life for more than ten days first at Le Crest hospital and then at premier medical institute AIIMS today. He was 72 years old and prestigious Sahitya Academy recipient and a progressive writer n poet of eminence, having been the editor of Jansatta, Rashtriya Sahara n several daily newspapers.

Eminent contemporary Hindi poet n veteran journalist Mangalesh Dabral whose five collections of poetries have been translated in all major languages and almost all the foreign languages viz English, Russian, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Polish and Bulgarian was also translating the prestigious Booker prize winner English author Arundhati Roy’s globally famous book titled ” The God of Small Things”.

Prominent contemporary Hindi poet Mangalesh Dabral has been the Sahitya Academy Award winner, having been the editor of Jansatta, Purvagrah, Rashtriya Sahara, Hindi daily Amrit Prabhat Magazine Public Agenda, etc.He also worked in Patriot Hindi, Pratipaksh and Aaspaas n several other papers. He is a towering literary figure and a author n contemporary Hindi poet of outstanding reputation n calibre, with several literary n poetic writings to his credit.
