Man consumes poision n gives to 3 children as well, admitted in Haldwani hospital

There is an shocking news about a completely frustrated n disheartened man losing his job due to the ongoing pandemic for several months constrained to take a drastic step of not only consuming poision himself but also giving it to his three children and two bulls in his village in Sarainkhet, district Almora, Uttarakhand sending shock waves in the entire hilly state.

The two bulls have died but the family of four are in serious condition in Haldwani base hospital where they have been admitted after becoming conscious. The condition of the father is more critical reveal the latest news.

There have been umpteen instances of such tragedies in various parts of the country during the last seven months since the eruption of Covid 19 with people losing their jobs, businesses and earnings from different sources.

An element of frustration, demoralisation and insecurity have crept in, not only among the poorest sections of the society but also amongst those who were earlier leading comfortable lives with handsome earning.

The private sector employees especially those at the lower echelons were the hardest hit with their families in immense disarray due to financial difficulties n instability.

The working class had been the worst sufferer with hundreds of thousands of migrants shifting back to their villages empty handed losing their source of incomes going into frustration and psycological demoralisation.

This incident pertains to village Saraikhet, in district Almora, Uttarakhand where a forty year old man namely Mahipal Singh who was jobless since March after returning to his village Sarainkhet had consumed poision and also given to his three children aged 9 year old Himani,12 year old Jaipal and 13 year old Hanspal.

He also posioned his two bulls who died instantaneously. After consuming the poision all of them became unconscious and were rushed to Haldwani Base hospital by the neighbours n relatives where all of them are still serious with Mahipal in critical condition.

According to sources Mahipal ‘s financial condition had badly deteriorated as he was jobless for the last six months after losing his job in Delhi due to lockdown, not able to feed the family not foreseeing any possibilities of income. His wife had also left him and had come to Delhi making him more demoralised and frustrated say news reports.

He laboriously endeavoured to dedicatedly go on with agricultural cultivation during the pandemic months but could not yeild enough productivity to sustain his family. This led to inculcate frustration leading to taking this drastic steop. The incident occured on 8th October.
