Home ministry calls meeting with Delhi government officials on Monday to find remedial measures inview of the surge in pandemic cases

While the people are taking things at ease not worried about the dreaded pandemic spreading fast due to open violation of anti Covid 19 norms n regulations, moving and interacting freely in congested areas without masks or throwing to winds the physical distancing norms, despite so much of Covid 19 mortalities, during the last eight months and the infections crossing over eighty lakhs nationally with the capital city likely to reach to four lakh numbers, – what’s terribly worrisome is, the winters have approached and festivals like Deepawali and Christmas inviting congestion n cohesiveness, too in the offing opening floodgates to the already spread horrible pandemic.

The pandemic experts have already warned of the dreaded disease crossing all limits during the winters and festive seasons if not regulated or precautionery measures adopted strictly.

And the capital city is the worst victim again today with over five thousand five hundred cases being witnessed daily since the last few days, unambiguously sending dangerous signals in the days to come with the NCT Delhi’s health minister Satyendra Jain already announcing that Delhi would be witnessing 12 to 15000 cases of Covid 19 daily in the days to come.

The Niti Ayog and the union government has sensed the extremely dangerous signals and health minister Satyendra Jain has accepted this trend of Covid 19 spread as Community infections denying of any possibilities of further lockdowns.

The union home minister Amit Shah who had played a pivotal role few months ago by convening spate of meetings with the Union health minister Dr. Harshvardhan , Delhi government CM, Lt governor, deputy CM, health minister and pandemic specialists including AIIMS director n DMA to counter the speedily spreading pandemic in the capital, has again directed the union home ministry to convene an urgent meeting on Monday.

Amid the worrying spike in Covid 19 infections in Delhi especially after the onset of the winter season, the union home ministry has convened a special review meeting with the Delhi government officials on Monday to check the spiralling of the infections with Saturday’s Covid 19 infections coming to 5,062 numbers.

The Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain has already admitted that the virus is at community transmission stage in Delhi and therefore any future lockdown is not a remedy to control the spread.

After the onset of winter season, the last four days Delhi have constantly witnessed a terrible surge in Covid 19 cases crossing five thousand numbers showing no signs of its receding.

The Delhi government which has currently about 9500 beds vacant in government hospitals including 445 ICU beds with ventilators n 691 minus ventilators is working hard to add more than 4891 beds in two weeks to ensure that about 20 thousands beds are made available to effectively treat the increasing number of Covid 19 patients.

It may be recalled that lot is being said about the availability of anti Covid vaccines in three months time, even assured by the union health minister Dr. Harshvardhan with Hyderabad’s Biotech already granted approval for the third stage trial for Covaxin including Oxford’s AstraZeneca n number of other vaccines on the anvil but till then the only alternative is to exercise strict anti Covid regulations n precautions.

Drug manufacturer Moderna has already launched its potential anti Covid vaccine and likely to inject it on 12 to 18 years old according to the latest news.
