Ghaziabad DM issues notice to protesting farmers at Ghazipur Delhi border to vacate Dharna cum protest sites, large police force deployed

The Ghaziabad district magistrate has issued orders to Kisan unions to immediately vacate the Dharna cum protest sites at Delhi Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur border.

There have also been sloganeering by the local populace against the protesting farmers.

According to the latest news after the issuance of the orders of Ghaziabad district magistrate large number of police force have been deployed at the Delhi UP Ghazipur border to maintain law and order and ensure vacation of the protest cum Dharna sites.

A notice have been handed over to Farmer leaders and Bhartiya Kisan Union chief Rakesh Tikaith directing them to vacate the sites at the earliest. However, one of the BKU leader Yudhvir Singh said that the protest would continue and the police may arrest them if they want to evict them forcibly.

According to the BKU leader Rakesh Tikaith they are deliberating on this issue and would take the decision on urgent basis whether they will vacate the Dharna cum protest site or will continue with their agitation. The situation however, seems to be quite crucial and critical, say the news reports.

This unambiguously indicate that the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the Ghaziabad administration to evict all the farmer protestors at Ghazipur Delhi border and other sites who had been camping here for the last 64 days in support of their demands to repeal three contentious agricultural laws including enactment of a new central law on Minimum Support Price.

After the rampant violence and riotous situation in several parts of Delhi and arbitrary furling of Nishank Sahib flag by the protestors during the tractors rally in 26 th January in which nearly 389 police personnel n ten farmer protestors have been allegedly injured including few IPS officers , the Delhi Police have already registered FIR against the 37 Farmer leaders including Yogendra Yadav of Swaraj India, n renowned psephologist, Mega Patkar of Narmada Bachao Andolan and a renown social activist, V.M. Singh, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Mr. Pannu, BKU chief Rakesh Singh Tikaith n several others under various severe sections of IPC. Meanwhile, talking to the media at the Ghazipur Delhi border Rakesh Tikaith said that he is grateful to the media for covering this movement during the last 63 days unambiguously giving clear indications that the tents and agitating farmers will probably leave the Dharna site at the border. He also demanded SC judicial probe to bring to justice who put the flag at Red Fort as protesting Kisans would under no circumstances tolerate insult to the national flag said Tikaith.

There are also speculations that he may also surrender to the police though not confirmed till yet. He told the media that he is discussing with his followers and Kisans at the site and would reveal the exact position after an hour’s time. The Ghaziabad district administration and police had issued him a notice after registering of an FIR to surrender within three days on various charges levelled against him after the violence that erupted on 26th January. Latest news report reveal that tents are being lifted from the Ghazipur border site.
