Five Congress MLAs who resigned join BJP n met its chief JP Nadda

Five Congress lawmakers of Manipur have resigned from their respective constituencies and joined the Bhartiya Janata Party. These five Congress MLAs after resigning from their parent party have joined BJP n thereafter met the national party chief JP Nadda in New Delhi to seek his blessings. The names of these five Congress MlAs who joined BJP are : Henry Singh from Vagkhai assembly constituency, Oinom Lukhoi from Vangoi seat, Mohammed Abdul Nasir from Keeling seat, Ponam Brojan from Wangzin Thenthat seat, and Ginsuaanhu from Singhat Assembly constituency.

While expressing their non confidence in the leadership of the outgoing chief minister of Manipur Ibobi Singh these Congress rebels ( five MLAs) said that it was because of him only that the Congress party was not able to form its government when it was individually the biggest party in the state of Manipur.

These five MLAs to have resigned from Congress n assembly membership n joined BJP are among those eight MLAs who had on Monday defied the party whip n intentionally absented themselves in the one day assembly session.

It was on this day that the BJP backed Viren Singh government won the vote of confidence in Manipur ousting the Ibobi Singh government.

After allegedly not able to destabilise the cohesive Congress government in Rajasthan the saffron party won a state of Manipur by destabilizing the Ibobi Singh government thus gaining a consolation prize say political analysts.
