THE DECEASED tempo driver Kundan Singh left behind his distressed n traumatic wife n two children below twenty years. Kundan was the only member of the family. The Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni has personally spoken to the Lt governor Anil Baijal acquainting him of this tragedy n requesting him to sanction adequate financial compensation to the bereaved family of late Kundan Singh.

The Garhwal Hithesini Sabha too had send three letters to Delhi LG Anil Baijal, CM Arvind Kejrival and Railway minister Piyush Goyal to sanction maximum financial assistance to the bereaved family of the deceased Kundan Singh and giving job to next of the kin in the state or central government’s Railway department.

They’ve held the Delhi government n the Railway department responsible for the death of Kundan Singh as the authorities concerned under the central n state governments were allegedly responsible for Kundan Singh’s death for no fault of his as accused by Garhwal Hithesini Sabha, a biggest representative social organisation of Garhwalies in Delhi founded in 1923.

It may be recalled that the bridges of Delhi n other low lying areas are always over flooded with drain storm water during the rainy season and the flood control department of Delhi government, the autonomous NDMC, MCD n other departments have not shown any eagerness to resolve this issue for the last several decades resulting in loss of lives, massive traffic snarls n inconvenience to the general public during monsoons.

The cheque of Rs ten lakh would be delivered to late Kundan Singh’s wife in his village in Pithoragarh. The chief minister of Uttarakhand is also requested to kindly donate equal amount from the chief minister relief fund to ameliorate the financial grievances of the traumatic family or giving employment to the deceased’s wife Munni Devi keeping in view the humanitarian aspect of the tragedy.
