Borders with Haryana and UP sealed for a week. Delhites asked whether Delhi hospitals would be applicable for only Delhi residents till Corona phase ?

In view of the horrific surge of more than 1100 cases of Covid 19 pandemic in the capital city of India for the last four days daily, with no indication of these cases coming down, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival has announced that the Delhi borders with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh would be sealed for a week subject to the review after knowing the views n consent of Delhites.

Only commuters with necessary passes and govt I Cards would be allowed to travel. He also asked Delhi citizens to give their suggestions till Friday evening whether the Delhi government hospitals should be confined for treatment of Covid 19 desease for only Delhi residents or for all of other states, though he also admitted that Delhi is the capital of India and it’s the city of all Indians belonging to various states of the country whether Kerala, Tamilnadu, Jharkhand, Bihar, UP etc , always seeking treatment in Delhi hospitals.

He also gave clearence to all shops, barber shops n Malls to remain open from 9 to 5.00 PM with SPAs forbidden to function. These shops n markets would be allowed to open from 9.00 Am to 5.00 PM and would open on odd even number criteria said Kejrival.

Expressing his concern over the surging cases of Covid 19 Arvind Kejrival said that it’s indeed a matter of immense worry as if the figure of more than one thousand cases surge on daily basis will not discontinue than this inflating number of patients would definitely affect the hospitals as the current addition of 9500 beds to the existing ones may get overfilled with patients.

He however assured Delhites that the Delhi government is fully prepared and well equipped to deal with the pandemic and they should have fullest confidence on their chief minister.

It may be recalled that prior to every lockdown expiry n subsequent extention, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival had been seeking the views n suggestions of Delhites and this time too he has sought their views on Delhi hospitals’ usage for only Delhites or for all by asking them to furnish them latest by 5.00 PM till Friday on the whatsapp number n mail ID as above. The total number of Covid 19 cases have reached the twenty thousand mark with over 9 thousand patients recovered n over five hundred patients have succumbed to the desease.
