Air Vice Marshal, AVSM, VSM Sandeep Naithani is the controller of Warship Production and Acquisition

During the last few years n currently NSA Ajit Doval, former DGMO Anil Bhatt, former Raw chief Dhasmana, former DG Indian Coast Guard Rajendra Singh Bisht ( Tomar) , late Vishwa Mohan Badola, Mangalesh Dabral, Prem Lal Bhatt, eminent globally famed environmentalists Dr. Sunder Lal Bahuguna, Chandi Prasad Bhatt, Dr. Anil Joshi, chess champion Parimarjan Negi, Jaspal Rana n several other distinguished personalities in various fields of life have raised the name of Uttarakhand high nationally, winning all round accolades.
There is yet another good news. Originally hailing from village Naithana in Kaljikhal Block under the jurisdiction of Pauri Garhwal district, Air Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani has taken the charge of prestigious Warship production and acquisition, as Controller in addition to acquiring the command of the Indian Navy’s Electrical Training Establishment, INS Valsura.
Vice Admiral Naval, Mr. Naithani has taken charge from the outgoing Vice chief admiral S. R. Sharma.
A graduate of National Defence Academy Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani was commissioned in Indian Navy in the year 1985 on 1st January.
His first appointment took place in the Electrical Division of Indian Navy.
In his capacity as the senior most technical officer of Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani would be the overall in-charge of all the ships and Submarines with regard to their selection, command and maintenance etc.
An outstanding former post graduate student of IIT Delhi in Radar and Communication engineering and Defence Services Staff College and Defense College, Air Vice Marshal Naithani had been credited with holding various challenging posts and assignments during his previous three decade’s outstanding career in INS.
He had given his exceptional outstanding services in the War carrier ship VIRAAT and had also been credited for being on various significant positions in INS Dock Yards, as a staff of INS headquarter, training and material wings. In addition he has taken over the charge of the main Electrical Division at Valsura.
In addition to these significant achievements n accomplishments, Air Vice Marshal Sandeep Naithani had also been the chief staff officer ( Technical) in WNC, chief admiral of INS Mumbai dockyard and director General of INS Projects. He was also the programme director of ATVP headquarter. Heartiest congratulations to Air Vice Marshal Sandeep Naithani on assuming his new significant assignment.
