Actress Payal Ghosh joins RPI (A) n appointed as the Women wing’s vice president by minister Athawale
Bollywood actor, a beautiful charming lady who had filed a case against popular director Anurag Kashyap accusing him of sexual assault in 2013, has joined the Republican Party of India ( Athawale) on Monday and has been appointed as the Vice president of the Women’s Wing of the party.
Ram Dass Athawale the president of Republican Party of India is a union minister of state in the BJP led National Democratic Alliance government.
The union minister n ROI chief RamDass Athawale has tweeted on Monday: The actress Payal Ghosh is welcomed in the RPI. @iampayalghosh your company will strengthen the women’s wing of RPI. Will strongly fight the war of justice. Will realise the dream of Dr. Ambedkarji’s constitutional India with equality.
The Bollywood actress Payal Ghosh also revealed about her joining the RPI n elevated as the Vice President of the women’s wing of the party.
In her tweet she wrote : I have been appointed as the Vice president for women wing of RPI. Thanks@RamdasAthwale sir for believing in me. This is my honour to accept it. It’s one step closer to getting justice. As a woman I am also happy to serve the women community.
Union state minister Ram Dass Athawale had been supporting Payal Ghosh when she accused Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap charging him of alleged sexual assault in 2013 and had also accompanied her to meet the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari to whom she had submitted a memorandum against Anurag Kashyap a month ago.
Payal Ghosh has also expressed her appreciation for prime minister Narendra Modi through another tweet writing :

While welcoming Payal Ghosh in his party RPI n appointing her a the vice president of RPI, Athawale assured her that Kashyap will soon be arrested for allegedly assaulting her.
It may be recalled that making debut in 2017 in Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, a romantic Bollywood movie starring Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal n Prem Chopra etc, Payal Ghosh is a model turned actor, born in 1989, having completed her political science honours from Scottish College, Kolkata.
In September 2020 Payal Ghosh filed a complaint against Anurag Kashyap for sexually assaulting her at Yari Road in 2013 dismissing the allegations by Kashyap terming them as biased, baseless allegations and an attempt to silence him criticizing the government.
