Madhya Pradesh governor Lalji Tandon today breathed his last in Lucknow at the age of 85. He was admitted in Vedanta hospital after complaining of respiratory problems and complications in lungs n kidney.
His son Ashutosh Tandon ( Gopalji) revealed the news about the sad demise of his ailing father this morning. Lalji Tondon breathed his last early morning at 5.35 AM. While requesting people to maintain adequate social distancing in view of the prevailing pandemic aggrieved Ashutosh Tandon requested his well wishers n supporters of his late father to stay at home and pay their homage to the departed leader from there only, thus following the norms of Covid 19.
As per his information posted on his twitter handle the last rights would be performed at the crematorium Gulala Ghat at Lucknow at 4.30 PM. Before the cremation his body will be laid at bungalow number 64 Saundhi Tola Chowk, Lucknow.
The prime minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah, BSP Supremo Maya wati, Rajasthan CM Yogi Adityanath, MP from Almora n former minister Ajay Tamta and leaders, ministers n MPs have condoled the late governor’s sad demise praying for his soul to rest in peace.
Prime minister Narendra Modi expressed his anguish at the passing away of Lalji Tandon n tweeted : Sh. Lalji Tondon will be remembered for his untiring efforts to serve the society. He played a key role in strengthening the BJP in Uttar Pradesh n making a mark as an effective administrator, always giving importance to public welfare. Anguished by his passing away.
Union home minister Amit Shah expressed his anguish n grief over the sad demise of Lalji Tandon and said that his contribution to strengthen the BJP in Uttar Pradesh was phenomenal. His death has led to a huge loss to the country n the saffron party.
He condoled his death n paid respects n tributes to the aggrieved family. Lalji Tandon was admitted in Vedanta Hospital since June after suffering from breathlessness.
The BSP leader Mayawati while expressing her deepest condolences to the bereaved family n paying rich tribute to the late leader n governor MP Lalji Tandon tweeted : Madhya Pradesh Governor and several times minister in UP government Lalji Tandon’s sad demise has saddened me. He was a man of mixing social nature , extremely cooperative and of mixing nature with one and all. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
