Uttarakhand witnessed a horrific jump in Covid 19 cases today as per the Health bulletin released this evening at 8 PM. On Saturday evening 72 cases of Corona virus infections were reported from various parts of Uttarakhand with maximum 55 cases detected in Nainital. At 3 PM today the figures of Covid 19 infections reported were 20 which were considered to be a worrisome spike but the 8 PM bulletin shocked one and all when the total single day spike, the highest ever during the last few weeks was reported to be 72 numbers.

Such a high number of cases were never reported earlier. The government of Uttarakhand and the health department in particular are worried over this sudden spike in dreaded Corona virus cases. The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was live on Amar Ujala today and has confirmed that around 2 lakh people from other states viz Gujarat, Gurugram Haryana, Jullandhar, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat n Delhi etc have already been brought to various parts of Uttarakhand and have been adequately quarantined with necessary testing of Covid 19.

There was no indication of this single day spurt of 72 cases. The government has assured of putting those travelling through air in hotels and other by train n buses in Quarantine centres n would be sent to their houses after proper testing if found Corona negative.

The Uttarakhand High Court had already directed the state Health Secretary n DG health to ensure Covid 19 tests on all those entering the state with 14 days Quarantine in border vicinity. The sudden spurt in Covid 19 cases have really put the health department in quandary as experts say that the graph of Corona virus infections may go further high in the days to come.
