Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha invites applications for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Meghavi Chaatra Samman

The biggest registered socio cultural organisation wedded to promotion n preservation of the Uttarakhand’s culture and help people in distress of Uttarakhand origin living in Delhi, formed in 1923, with its headquarter in Delhi, is organising a Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali outstanding students’ honour initiative to encourage the meritorious students of Garhwal Uttarakhand by presenting them ” Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Chaatra Sammam 2020″ with the deadline of application being 15,th December,2020.

According to the president of Garhwal Hitaishini Sabha Narendra Singh Negi n General Secretary Pawan Maithani, the outstanding students who’ve secured 90% or more marks have been asked to submit their marksheets through email to the management of GHS at the address: ghsprize2020@gmail.com. The students of tenth and twelfth classes who’s secured ,ninety percent or more marks in the schools of Delhi n national capital region ( Delhi NCR) are eligible to apply for the ” Chandra Singh Garhwali Meghavi Chaatra Samman” via email.

The last date for filing their request with marksheets indicating their entitlement of having secured more than 90% marks has been fixed at 15 th December.

The Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha has been promoting n encouraging outstanding students of tenth n 12th classes for the last several years and is also credited with organising career counseling events in Garhwal Bhawan Delhi every year acknowledging tremendous response with active students’ parents participation thus encouraging them to pursue excellent careers ahead.

This year the GHS has, in view of the ongoing pandemic and its negative implications, asked for the names of outstanding students for the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Scholarship honours through the Google form.

As soon as the student/ applicant will fill the form with the requisite information and marksheets etc he or she will acknowledge the mail about the receipt of the form.

Till now more than fifty students have responded to the call of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha and more are expected to come forward. It may be recalled that the largest registered social organisation of Garhwalies, Uttarakhand in Delhi with more than 5000 registered active membership from Delhi n NCR, has been organising various socio cultural and education related events including medical camps n counselling events to educate n aware the people including granting financial assistance to the needy patients from time to time.

The elections of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha are held after every two years with the present elected body’s term having been extended by the general house with majority in view of the ongoing pandemic n its satisfactory performance during the past two years of its being in office.
