I am grateful to the PM from the core of my heart says Chirag Paswan

The late former union minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s son Chirag Paswan has extended his gratefulness and gratitude to the prime minister Narendra Modi for standing by him and his family rock solid during his most critical juncture and making all the necessary arrangements without asking for them, to perform the last rights while giving his Papa the final adieu in Patna yesterday. Late Paswan was consigned to flames at the bank of Ganges with full state honours.

The prime minister had specially deputed the union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to accompany Chirag Paswan and his anguished family to Patna to look after all the necessary arrangements which were executed nicely.

The state government led by Nitish Kumar had given the late leader the highest regards with state honours with hundreds of thousands of Paswan’s supporters and Lok Jana Shakti Party workers joining the last rites at the bank of river Ganges in Patna hailing the late leader in tears.

The prime minister Narendra Modi always held Ram Vilas Paswan in high esteem and had also consoled Chirag Paswan n his mother when he had visited his Delhi house to pay the floral tributes assuring him and the family of his fullest support and cooperation. He stayed with the family for quite some time consoling them.

The tweet of Chirag Paswan is being seen in the significant context especially in view of the Bihar elections where the LJP is fighting the assembly elections on its own on all seats despite it being the strongest ally of the national democratic alliance government in which Ram Vilas Paswan was the union minister of food processing and consumer affairs.

Late Paswan had worked with six prime ministers right from Janata Party to the present NDA government as union minister with VP Singh, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee n Narendra Modi. He became MLA in Bihar Assembly in 1969 for the very first time n had been the Lak Sabha MP from Hajipur for nine terms incessantly, a record in itself.

Ram Vilas Paswan died this Thursday after the cardiac surgery in AIIMS at the age of 74 after suffering from multiple health complications.

He was the towering leader of the dalits and the down troddens of Bihar n the country, having also opposed draconian emergency in 1975 to 77, under the leadership of Jai Prakash Narayan, leader of the total revolution, being jailed for several months.

While heartily expressing his gratefulness to the prime minister Chirag Paswan had tweeted : Heartiest gratitude to respected prime minister for extending his cooperation in the last journey of Papa. Sir you have arranged everything for Papa’s last journey without asking for the same. In my capacity as a son I am passing through a very critical juncture. You blessings have enhanced my courage and spirits both.
