Delhi govt n pvt hospitals only meant for Delhi Covid 19 patients. Outsiders can avail the services of centrally governed hospitals

The chief minister of the national capital territory of Delhi Arvind Kejrival announced that from now onwards only those Covid 19 patients would be given addmission in Delhi hospitals for treatment who are the bonafide citizens of Delhi whereas those hailing from other states would be applicable to seek admission n subsequent Covid 19 treatment in hospitals which are under the central government’s jurisdiction viz AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia hospital etc. Arvind Kejrival was today addressing a digital press conference.

He catagorically said that from now onwards only those patients would be addmitted in Delhi hospitals who are living in the capital as Delhi is already witnessing a massive surge in pandemic cases especially during the last nine days at an average of 1200 cases daily with more than 700 Covid 19 deaths.

This is indeed a worrisome trend added Kejrival. It may be recalled that the chief minister Arvind Kejrival has in his 5 day prior press conference asked Delhites to furnish their suggestions on a whatsapp number n Delhi website whether addmission to outsiders should continue in Delhi hospitals, government and private or should be confined for the addmission and subsequent Covid 19 treatments of Delhites only. According to the chief minister Arvind Kejrival more than 7.5 lakh people have responded to the Delhi govt’s whatsapp n Website n majority of them has suggested to confine Delhi hospitals for the treatment of only Delhi Covid patients.

Kejrival said that at present about 60 % of patients seeking addmission/ treatment in Delhi hospitals hail from other states. Arvind Kejrival also announced that the Delhi borders with Haryana n Uttar pradesh like Gurugram, Noida and Ghaziabad would be opened from 8th June and Malls, Temples, Churches, Gurudwaras, etc would also be opened forthwith.

But he requested one and all to strictly adhere to the prescribed norms of Covid 19 pandemic while availing freedom of movement as the surge in cases have bothered one and all. It may be recalled that Delhi which was on 9th padestral amongst Covid 19 cases catagory states has today in just two weeks become the third state after Maharashtra n Tamilnadu with over 27654 cases.

Just imagine if the surges in cases do not come under control the Delhi hospitals with the maximum capacity of 15000 beds both in government and private hospitals will become over loaded with mess all around added CM Kejrival.
