Will Sachin Pilot revolt or compromise remains to be seen? CLP meeting on Tuesday

The political war between the third time Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and first timer deputy CM Sachin Pilot seems to have crossed the saturation point of dissent and it seems that there will be an “Aar Paar Ki Ladaai”, though there are unambiguous indications that Sachin Pilot despite having been approached by Jyotiraditya Scindia is not planning to join the saffron party. However, there are more chances of the Rebel Young Turk of Congress forming his own regional political party to uproot the traditional Congress stronghold from the state and if possible work in alliance or in collaboration with BJP. In the meanwhile the Congress high command has asked Sachin Pilot to attend tomorrow’s Congress legislature party convened at Jaipur at 10.30 AM to decide the fate of chief minister Ashok Gehlot who has already claimed himself in quite a winning position having the support of about 109 MLAs including 11 independents. Meanwhile denying about any meeting with top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi , badly annoyed with Ashok Gehlot Sachin Pilot has strongly rubbished the chief minister’s claim of having 109 law makers’ support saying that if he is really strong why is he not parading them to exhibit their support.

However, Sachin Pilot has now cleared that he has the outright support of twenty MLAs who have been held up in a hotel in Manesar Haryana since morning. Despite the adamant attitude / posture Sachin Pilot is being approached by the senior Congress leaders with the news floating in that Priyanka Gandhi is personally taking interest to satisfy the rebel leader. But news about Sachin Pilot’s denial of having talked to any leader including Sonia, Rahul n Priyanka all the possibilities of amicable settlement of this complex issue seems to be a distant dream.

However, the chief spokesman of Congress Randeep Singh Surjewala has very clearly asked Sachin Pilot to come to attend the Tuesday’s meeting of Rajasthan CLP and join to strengthen the Congress. He catagorically said that Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka n Rahul Gandhi are ready to speak to him and if he has any problem or differences of opinion it will be sorted out by all means.

The news is also floating that the Congress high command n chief minister Ashok Gehlot has already agreed to allocate four cabinet ranks to the MLAs of Pilot Camp including giving of state President’s post to his camp. Two important portfolios of Home n finance are reported to have been asked for by the Pilot camp.

An offer has also been given to Pilot to become the general secretary of All India Congress Committee if he intends to come to Delhi. It is believed that deputy CM Sachin Pilot who is away from media and in an incommunicado position is keenly watching the developments and kept his cards closed till yet. Both Sachin n Gehlot had been political adversaries for the last several years and the former was not at all in good terms with the latter even after Sachin’s being made the deputy CM n the state president.

Everybody knows that the young Sachin had worked tremendously hard to not only rebuild the defunct Congress in the state thereby defeating the BJP but had devoted n dedicated his several years to the state leaving the central politics away, even after being a union minister in Dr. Manmohan Singh’s regime.

Everybody’s fingers are crossed as no one really knows whether Sachin Pilot honours’ Sonia, Rahul n Priyanka by submitting n supporting Ashok Gehlot again or revolting (1) by way of forming his own party or (2) joining BJP on the lines of his friend and now a BJPite Jyotiraditya Scindia…?
