While HM Amit Shah and Delhi CM review Covid 19 preparedness, MPs Sanjay Singh n Gautam Gambhir engage in tweet debate
It sounds ironical that when the deadly pandemic is spiralling with leaps and bounds with unexpected number of fatalities, our public representatives with divergent ideologies hailing from Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are busy fighting each other.
This twitter fracas started today between Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and prominent cricketer turned Lok Sabha MP Gautam Gambhir when the union home minister Amit Shah and Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival visited the newly built biggest Covid 19 hospital at Chatterpur Delhi by a popular socio religious organisation Radha Soami Satsang management with the support n help of the central n Delhi governments.
As per the latest indications the Home minister Amit Shah has planned to visit this largest Covid centre/ hospital and had informed the Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejrival to be present at the site. He did’nt go there to inaugurate it as being charged by AAP.
While it’s being said that it was an inspection by the union home minister Amit Shah to review the preparations in this 10000 beds’ capacity Covid 19 hospital – currently started with 2000 beds including fans, coolers, AC’s n also oxygen facilities for severe Covid 19 patients etc , the ardent rival of the saffron party, AAM Admi Party n Rajya Sabha member of parliament Sanjay Singh has ridiculed the home minister Amit Shah by tweeting that the later is clandestinely n Chupke Chupke visiting the Delhi government built/ managed largest Covid 19 hospital in the world, to inaugurate it ( allegedly) obviously meaning to derive political capital out of it .
He further questions : Is BJP fighting with Corona or @Arvind Kejrival ? The tweet is in Hindi : Suna hai Dilli sarkar dwara banaye gaye duniya ke sabse bade Covid 19 aspatal ka grah mantri Amit Shah ” Chori Chori, Chupke Chupke” udghattan karne aa rahe hain. Bhajapa Corona se lad rahi hai ya fir @ Arvind Kejrival se?
After reading Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s tweet former Indian skipper turned lok sabha MP Gautam Gambhir countered by responding quickly, tweeting : After reading your tweet I personally spoke to the home minister Amit Shahji on this issue. He told me that he is going to inspect not to inaugurate the hospital. n Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwalji has also been asked to join him. The tweet was in Hindi as here : Aapke is tweet ke baad maine swayam Grah Mantri Shri @ Amit Shah ji se is vishay par baat kee. Unhone bataya ki udghattan karne nahi nirikshan karne jaa rahe hain jiske liye @Arvind Kejrivalji ko bhi bulaaya gaya tha.
However just two days ago the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival had himself invited home minister Amit Shah to this largest Covid 19 hospital with ten thousand bed capacity being looked after by ITBP with 170 doctors n hundreds of health workers to take care of the Covid 19 patients. He had claimed this hospital to be Delhi government’s initiative but thanked the central government for the necessary help.
Kejrival had also requested the union home ministry for the Army n para military’s support to run this hospital of Radhaswamy Satsang.
Responding to Kejrival’s tweet the union home minister had reminded the Delhi CM that the MHA has already given the job of arranging a 10000 bed Covid 19 hospital to ITBP and that the work is in full swing with the largest Covid 19 hospital to start on 26th June.
He also reminded the DELHI CM that this decision was already taken last week in two meetings including the one held with him at his office obviously unambiguously meaning that this is the centre’s initiative, not of the Delhi govt. alone as being claimed.
Meanwhile after visiting the Covid 19 Chatterpur hospital home minister lauded the dedication n courageous efforts of ITBP personnel by tweeting that their commitment to serve the nation n people of Delhi is unparalled. ( As above)
The point is when Covid 19 dangerous spread has panicked one and all in the national capital n the country with Delhi detecting nearly 80 thousand cases and our nation more that 5 lakh 15 thousand cases with nearly 2 thousand 150 n 15685 fatalities respectively, it’s really shocking to note that some of our politicians are busy scoring browny points. Sounds shocking indeed.
They should atleast give up their narrow political interests during this most critical juncture n earnestly come forward to fight this dreaded pandemic. Whats your take friends ?
