Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has detected positive for Covid 19

The Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu has been detected positive for Covid 19 today. He has gone into self isolation at his official residence Vice President’s house at Ashok Road, New Delhi. His wife Usha Naidu however has been detected negative for Covid 19. The Covid 19 test was conducted on him during the routine medical tests. However he is an asymtomatic case and in good health. His wife too has gone in self isolation despite having tested negative for Covid 19.

The vice president’s secretariat has revealed this information through a tweet today writing : The vice president of India who underwent a routine Covid 19 test today morning has been tested positive. He is however asymtomatic and in good health.He has been advised home quarantine. His wife Amy Usha Naidu has been tested negative and is in self isolation. It may be recalled that the vice president is also the Vice chairman of Rajya Sabha and had attended the proceedings of the upper house during the hectic monsoon session where about 25 or more MPs from both the house were detected positive for Covid 19. The parliament had to be adjourned indefinitely on 23 rd September due to the apprehension of Covid though the parliament was to continue till 1st October. There was tremendous Hungama, pendemonium n unruly behaviour of acrimonious opposition MPs coming into the well of the house opposing the passing of the three farm bills against their wishes n consent demanding division of votes etc. However, today for the very first time during the last 28 days the number of Covid 19 mortalities have come down to less than 1000 numbers. About 96 318 fatalities have been recorded till yet though 776 patients of Covid 19 succumbed to this dreaded disease in a day.
