This is the second time that the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has gone into self isolation, though has tested negative. However, as a precautionary measure I will be going into self isolation n will carry the works related to public C and administration through phone n virtual platforms , he said in another tweet.

It may be recalled that one of his OSDs and economic advisor had tested positive on August 15 followed by his PSO n driver on Tuesday compelling the CM to go on self isolation.

Meanwhile according to the latest health bulletin released this evening Uttarakhand witnessed 939 cases of Covid 19 taking the total tally of Covid 19 cases to 21234 numbers. Till now out of the total cases about 14437 patients have recovered with 6442 active cases.

It has been observed that the surge of Covid 19 infections have been tremendous during the last two weeks with today’s spike of 839 cases bothering one and all.

It seems that the government of Uttarakhand will have to be strict on pandemic regulations especially keeping in view the daily surge in Covid 19 cases. In Delhi for instance the Delhi police has earned more than nine crore rupees in the last two months after it imposed fines of Rs 500 per person violating Covid 19 precautions by not wearing face mask etc. The Delhi CM has passed instructions to Delhi police to be aggressive in implementing stringent punitive measures to ensure safety of every citizen from this dreaded pandemic.
