Though Uttarakhand’s latest tally reaches 4102 numbers, 2995 patients have recovered with merely nearly 995 active cases left behind

While the country has crossed one million mark in terms of dreaded Covid 19 cases with about staggering 104000 patients and twenty six thousand fatalities, Uttarakhand is blessed with comparatively negligible cases having crossed four thousand mark with merely fifty one Covid 19 fatalities.

This is indeed a laudable sign of the state performing extremely well in countering this pandemic which has created havoc in states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat n other states of the country.

While the Uttarakhand government n it’s chief minister deserves to be complimented to keep this pandemic under control during the last six months since it’s eruption in February, there had been complaints about less testings and delayed results as compared other states especially Delhi where about twenty thousand Covid 19 tests are being conducted on daily basis with it’s infection having crossed horrible limits, today being more than one lakh twenty thousand cases.

However, the recovery rate in the capital has been outstanding with about 98000 patients having been cured out of total one lakh nineteen thousand patients leaving the active cases to merely 21 thousands.

In Uttarakhand too the recovery rate is extremely fantastic with 3021 Covid 19 recoveries out of 4102 cases leaving active cases to merely 996 or so.

However, the Uttarakhand government was perturbed after it reported 120 cases during the last twenty four hours. In AIIMS RISHIKESH about 21 Covid 19 patients came for treatment after being detected positive n so was in Khatima, Uttarakhand where 21 Covid 19 cases were detected including 19 Patwaries of the Tehsil.

As a result the chief minister convened an emergency meeting and confabulated with the chief secretary of Uttarakhand Utpal Kumar Singh n other senior officers n directed them to explore possibilities to curb the Covid 19 spread in Uttarakhand. Meanwhile as directed by the CM a new guidelines have come into force with immediate effect with state going on complete lockdown on Saturdays n Sundays every week though all the essential services will remain open as usual.

The chief minister also urged one and all to exercise regulations and obey the Covid 19 norms strictly to get rid of this pandemic which is taking ugly shape gradually.
