The Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt having acted in more than 187 films, recently diagnosed with Lungs cancer in Mumbai’s Lilawati hospital, also being treated there currently is likely to head for United States of America for treatment of his grade three lungs cancer reveal the latest news.
The controversial actor who’d been behind bars for over five years in Mumbai Jail for a case related to allegedly acquiring AK 47 earlier post 1992 Mumbai blasts n having been complicit in drug addiction during his student days Sanjay Dutt got the cancer diagnosed two weeks ago when he was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after he complained of pain n breathlessness.
After being diagnosed of cancer of lungs Sanjay Dutt had tweeted appealing to his fans to be calm saying that he is taking some days off from his films obviously referring to seeking treatment. He tweeted : Hi Friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment.
My family n friends are with me and I wish my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes I will be back soon.
His US visit for treatment was delayed then due to the ongoing pandemic n was being treated in Lilawati hospital after consultation from the American doctors.
But latest news reveal that the US visa applied for, has been cleared n the Bollywood star is now ready to fly for immediate treatment. However, there were earlier reports that Sanjay Dutt was responding well to the treatment at Lilawati hospita n would continue treatment in Mumbai hospital. There are also reports that his lungs’ third stage cancer is curable.
Sixty one year old Sanjay Dutt will be accompanied by his wife Manyata n sister, former MP Priya Dutt who had always been at the forefront during her mother Nargis Dutt’s cancer treatment days. She is extremely active in the Nargis Dutt cancer Foundation as well providing succor to cancer patients regularly.
It may be recalled that Sanjay Dutt’s first wife Richa Sharma n mother Nargis had died of cancer. Richa died in America while his mother Nargis in a Mumbai hospital.
Sanjay Dutt’s elder daughter from late wife Richa Sharma lives in New York who was raised by her maternal family after her mother’s sad demise. Despite being so far n away from her father usually both father n daughter have cemented emotional bonds with Sanjay Dutt often visiting her in US.

Sanjay Dutt’s latest movie Sadak 2 directed by Mahesh Bhatt is due for global release on 28th August.
